Lacuna Fenestration
The Lacuna method is an exciting new addition to the Undercroft Clinic. It has enabled us to be able to treat more effectively stubborn, unsightly fungal nail infections, without the use of any potentially unpleasant side effects from oral medications, which to now have been the only fairly successful way of treating fungal nail infections (Onychomycosis).
The Lacuna method uses micro penetration (fenestration) to enable the Podiatrist to make micro pathways through a fungal nail in order to provide access to the nail bed for medication. It is entirely safe with virtually no pain or risk to the patient.
